July 07, 2009, Satellite Beach, FL - Federal Airways and Airspace has been enhancing the TERPS® Professional program to export user created drawings as KML files that can be read and loaded in other GIS applications. Federal Airways & Airspace has finished the development work for exporting study points and/or set points as KML. This feature can assist in visual confirmation that coordinates entered in an analysis are valid and in the correct location

In following example, we will demonstrate how to open a study point, create a KML file, and configure TERPS® Professional to automatically load study points in Google Earth. In addition, a survey accuracy code (1A, 2C and 4D) can be applied which will produce a 3D image of the point.

If "Yes" is selected a marker point will be automatically generated and loaded into Google Earth. Please skip to step 9.

If "No" is selected please follow the proceeding steps which will create a 3D image of the study point with an accuracy code applied to the height and width.

Please enter the path to Google Earth on your computer. A default path has been provided as an example. TERPS will only ask for this path once and will store it for future use.
